Midsummer Festival in Battle Creek All Weekend

Here's another large event to check out this weekend and next week in Battle Creek as they celebrate mid-summer and Independence Day. The Mid-Summer Festival starts on Thursday June 28th and runs into next week with hot air balloons, loud engines, carnival rides and lots of food.

The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival, a summer staple since 1980, begins a seven-day run at W.K. Kellogg Airport with a free day and ends on the night of July 4th with the second of two fireworks displays. On Saturday hundreds of runners will wind through the airport and city streets for the Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5K Race.
