UPDATED! Missing Toddler Found Safe After Almost 24 Hours In Woods

Brooklyn Lynn Lilly has been found safe!  She was found in woods near a creek, scratched and dirty, but generally in good condition.  Search dogs were able to track her scent, leading them to her location, 3/4 of a mile from her home, reportedly.

Brooklyn Lynn Lilly, 2, was reported missing Wednesday afternoon, November 5th 2014, at 2:20pm.  She was last seen at her Tawas City home, wearing a pink winter coat, blue jeans and black boots.

Now, authorities are asking the public's help in locating her.

WNEM-TV reports Lilly was in the care of an elderly person when she wandered into nearby woods.

Brooklyn is approximately 2 feet tall and 30 pounds, according to the Michigan State Police.  She has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Authorities are utilizing search dogs and planes to attempt to locate her and are asking residents not to enter the woods to search for her unless authorized, to prevent her scent from becoming compromised.
