Michigan State Names Its Graduation Speaker

It looks like one of the more famous baseball players from Michigan State is making his way back to East Lansing to speak at graduation. If you need a hint, he won the World Series with the Detroit Tigers and LA Dodgers in the 1980s. If you’re not a baseball fan he was also a football player as well….

he is Kirk Gibson.

According to MSU Today, on May 5th, Gibson will speak at the undergraduate convocation ceremony, at his alma mater Michigan State. He’ll also receive an honorary doctorate of humanities. The ceremony will begin at 1PM, at the Breslin Center. No tickets are required and the ceremony will be live-streamed.

Here’s the story.
