Here in Michigan we get sentimental when it comes to our landmarks. We also recognize when it’s time we as a community move forward from the past, primarily when it comes to the statue that once resided in Bronson Park. Being that I grew up on the east side of the state, I still see a lot of what’s going on over there in the news.

Recently a giant golden circular statue was erected in Macomb County. It has only recently been discovered that a Facebook page was started in honor of the statue, and has the most unlikely name. Somebody has given the monument the name “The Golden Butt-hole.” Already thousands of people have liked the page, and are poking fun at the design through memes. I doubt that this is the official name for the statue, but it’s still funny that this is the best they could come up with. My guess is that they don’t think too highly of it.
