Good news for all of us that drive in Lansing and on Michigan Ave. It was updated today that work begins Monday on repaving Michigan Avenue between S. Pennsylvania and US 127.  The project will last until the end of the month.

The start of the $300,000 road project comes after the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to Mayor Virg Bernaro and City Council urging them to fix the portion of the road from Pennsylvania Avenue on the west to US 127 on the east.

According to the Lansing State Journal, The work will include milling of the worn portions of the road to help put a smooth layer of asphalt on top. Also lansing.org has more details on traffic lights on Michigan Ave, and other closures due to the road work.
