Some One Direction fans are apparently not happy with Louis Tomlinson.

The 21-year-old 1D singer reportedly angered many fans after he took to Twitter recently to share his love for a U.K. brand weight-loss smoothie.

"Had an amazing @BooteaUK smoothie from Bootea.com this morning #booteashake," read the tweet, which Tomlinson has since deleted.

Many felt that Tomlinson's tweet promoted the Bootea drink, a company whose tagline boasts, "The teatox for weight loss." Since the majority of One Direction fans are young girls, there was a great deal of concern about the singer's tweet influencing fans to lose weight. (Since the tweet, the shake, which goes for 34.99 pounds -- roughly $57 USD -- has sold out on the website.)

However, the singer's rep was quick to defend Tomlinson's actions, telling E!: "Louis tweeted about the drink as he had one this morning and enjoyed it. However, he did not realize they are associated with weight loss, and would never endorse weight loss products."

What do you think, Directioners? Were fans too quick to get angry, or were their reasons justified?
