If you commute from Jackson or drive through Jackson to get somewhere else, be ready this week as there will lots of road work being done. There will be a lot of projects getting the roads paved and improve the city's roads.

Most likely the biggest job is being done on Wisner which is the repaving of that road and means it will be shut down this road through Saturday, May 21st in between Boardman Road and Argyle Street. If you want to get in the Jackson West Plaza while Wisner is closed, take the driveways on Boardman Road.

Also the two north lanes of Glick Highway will remained closed for the rest of the month, as Consumers Energy replaces two manhole covers.

Beginning today will be a three day closure of Pearl Street on the west side of Jackson Street for a phone duct installation.

Construction also continues this week on West Avenue downtown.

All of this construction will eventually be for the better as most of the roads in Jackson will be better for drivers and their cars.
