This was reported yesterday, but East Lansing public schools found high levels of lead in the water at all of its school buildings, including in water from at least seven faucets which students have available to drink from.  A county health official said the health risks are low.

No drinking fountains were on the list of 31 facilities where lead levels exceeding federal standards were found.  Faucets which students use have been shut down until this is investigated more.

Elevated lead levels were found in water samples at several East Lansing Public School facilities: Donley Elementary, Glencairn Elementary, Marble Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, and the East Lansing High School.   The Lansing State Journal has the complete list of schools.
