Lansing’s Snow is Fake? Watch this Experiment and Decide for Yourself [VIDEO]

So I'm perusing YouTube again (my favorite morning past time) and stumbled upon this Lansing resident's video where she is testing the snow that has recently fallen...

What's I want to know is WHAT is actually in our snow to make it not melt like it's supposed to? Any scientists around town want to comment?
