Lansing BWL to Build New Power Station

The Lansing Board of Water and Light is gonna get bigger and will be able to pump out more power as they going to build a new multi-million dollar power plant.

According to Lansing BWL, they released a statement on Monday saying that they will build a new, cleaner, and efficient natural gas-fired power plant. In addition, this $500 million plant will complement the company's investment into renewable energy as well as programs and projects in efficiency.  The plant will be helpful to energy needs in our area but the project will also create 1200 new jobs in construction.

The plant will be located at the Erickson Power Station facility in Delta Township and should be finished by 2021.
