Never underestimate the power of Beliebers -- they just scored Justin Bieber's friend a starting position in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game!

According to CTV News, the NBA asked for fans to vote for their favorite player online, and the two guards and three front court players with the highest number of votes would score places in the All-Star lineup. Toronto Raptors player Kyle Lowry was in the third spot -- that is, until Justin Bieber came to the rescue and urged fans to vote for his pal:

The tweet, which has since been retweeted by the 'Home to Mama' singer's devoted fans almost 50,000 times, helped to edge others out of the competition and land Lowry a spot on the team. Still, it's not without controversy -- according to CTV, Bieber was supposed to include the hashtag "#nbaballot" in order for the RTs to count as votes. Fortunately for him, Lowry still secured his spot on the team.

The NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15 and will feature an epic half-time performance from Ariana Grande.
