The roads will be getting nicer in Jackson as their City Council this week just approved a new measure to fix the roads. The only thing that needs to happen before the road construction can start is that residents will have to choose which option is best to fund the project. After the town votes through which way they want to fund the project then the Governor and Attorney General will need to approve it.

According to WLNS, Jackson residents will vote towards putting $161 million towards the roads but both increase taxes. The taxes would be raised about $100 per year to the average home owner. Another option to fund this project would be through property taxes. So this vote won't happen until November so Jackson will have to wait a good year or so before the project can get started.

The roads in Jackson are in despair and needed to be replaced for decades so this will definitely help. Check out more here.
