Breaking a nearly 150 year old record; after this morning's snowfall, Detroit has received the most snow in a single winter, this winter.

It was the winter of 1880-1881 that 93.6 inches of snow fell on the Motor City.  But now, the winter of 2013-2014 will replace those dates in record books as, as of this morning, Detroit has seen 94.8 inches of snow this season.

That's not the only record Detroit has broken this winter either, according to MLive.com. This year set a new record for most consecutive days with snow on the ground, a total of 77.
