The people of Michigan have always enjoyed a good road trip. Whether it's for a vacation or to visit friends and family, in state or across the country, Michiganders every where I think prefer to drive rather than fly. Surfing through the Detroit based Metro Times today, I've seen what looks like a pretty spot on interpretation of a great road trip across the state. Check out the map right here.

Here are a few route to route highlights. Ypsilanti to Dearborn, Alpena to Gaylord and Marquette to Mt. Bohemia. The designer of the map says it should take you about 40 hours to drive through the entire map shown. He also suggests taking your rip during the fall so you can take advantage of the prime fall comfortable weather and of course, all the great Michigan colors around here that time of year. What's the best place to road trip to in the state?
