Ingham County 911 Warns Of Possible Phone Scam

An alert from Nixle warns of a phone scam targeting people in the Lansing area. Ingham County 911 is urging residents to be aware of you you correspond with on the phone. The alert states,

"Anyone receiving phone calls from someone who identifies themselves from either the Ingham County Office of Pre-Trial Processing or Ingham County Clerk's Office, demanding payment on an old loan. DO NOT give them any personal information or money. Hang up and contact the Federal Trade Commission Complaint Center at 877-382-4357."
