If you haven't noticed yet or heard through your windows, but its going to be a windy day and night across Mid-Michigan. According to the National Weather Service, they have issued a HIGH WIND ADVISORY in effect until from 9a - 6p. National Weather Service also says we'll see and/or feel winds reaching near 55 miles per hour today. Scattered power outages are very possible today and the National Weather Service agrees that numerous power outages are possible. So make sure you are watching when you drive around today or get back home as you may see fallen tree branches or even downed power lines. If you see downed power  Officials warn that residents should be on the lookout for downed tree branches are power lines and flying trash cans.

Counties included in the advisory include pretty much all of Mid-Michigan and Southeast MI: Allegan; Barry; Calhoun; Clinton; Eaton; Gratiot; Ingham; Ionia; Isabella; Jackson; Kalamazoo; Kent; Mecosta; Montcalm; Ottawa and Van Buren.
