Heyyyyy Youuuu Guuuuuyss! Is There Going To Be A Sequel??

Is a Goonies sequel actually going to be made?

Any child of the 80's, myself included, remembers the 1985 smash hit The Goonies. This movie was a beloved and cherished part of my childhood; and by the time I was 8 years old, I had about worn through the VHS copy at my house. So you might imagine I'd be excited about the prospect of a sequel. Not to mention, my 9 year old son Avery just recently discovered the movie and would be PSYCHED to see a new one.

But with Josh Brolin and Sean Astin being 46 and 43 years old respectively, how will this one work? Will the same magic be there? Are any of the original cast going to be in it?

I'm a bit apprehensive, but I think it could be great if it's done with love and tenderness. The way all great sequels should be treated. (Yes, I'm a bit of a movie freak.)

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? Is this a good idea or should they just leave well enough alone?
