Here’s How Many People Got Arrested On St. Patrick’s Day

The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) made a total of 32 arrests during St. Patrick's Day yesterday.

The 32 arrests, were made up of 27 for alcohol and disorderly conduct and a few stemmed arrest warrants. Only five arrests were made for Operating While Intoxicated.

Two ELPD officers are recovering from minor injuries that they received during the course of the night arresting some people. None of the injuries are life-threatening and only minor.

Also another fun fact from yesterday, from 7:30 am yesterday to 7:30 today the EL Fire Department made 30 Emergence Medical Services runs and of the 30 19 were alcohol related and 2 were associated with assaults.
