Google is going to stop reading your Gmail in search of opportunities to sell ads. I say thanks alot as it is very annoying to see advertisements all over my email or search engine.

They announced the change Friday, as they will end a practice that Google has embraced since the company introduced Gmail in 2004. The practice which For the last 12 years has gotten the eye of internet watch groups and have creeped out users.

To help finance the free service, Google has been scanning through what Gmail users were discussing and then showing ads connected to some of the topics. So that's why if you, for example, wrote an email about a vacation you will start to see banner ads about vacations sites and places to go.

Google still plans to show ads within Gmail. But instead of scanning through email content they will use another algorithm to get show you ads instead of reading your emails.....Gee thanks.
