She was found abandoned in a South Carolina motel.  She was taken to an all-kill shelter.  Once she arrived she, like all other lost or abandoned pets taken to this shelter, had 48 hours to live.

With just hours to go before she would be euthanized, Emma was rescued.  Her new home was with Christy in New Jersey, who, despite having no expertise in dog training, knew there was something extra special about Emma and began working with her.

Three years later, Emma is competing at Westminster -- the most prestigious dog show in the world.

Emma, a Boston Terrier/Boxer/Something Else mix, was one of 15 dogs invited to compete this year, as part of Westminster's first ever agility contest that allowed mixed breed dogs.
