According to the Lansing State Journal, Friday’s short 20 minute storm caused chaos and power outages across parts of Lansing and East Lansing. In addition as of Sunday evening 1,238 Lansing Board of Water and Light customers were still without power.

The brief storm caused outages for nearly 10,000 of the utility’s customers.  The largest of the remaining outages were in East Lansing and Delta Township, where downed trees brought down power lines and poles.

Most of the power outages were cleaned up on Saturday but Lansing BWL is still having trouble getting everyone back up. It looks like it could be Wednesday before repair crews can completely restore power to everyone.
