An early Friday morning train derailment in Durand led to numerous overturned train cars that were carrying brand new 2016 Chevy Silverados.  14 of the 155 train cars left the tracks, WLNS-TV reports, and more than 30 pick-up trucks were towed away, deemed "totaled" after the wreck, according to a Facebook post by the towing company commissioned to clear the vehicles.  Fortunately there were no injuries.

The first train cars to leave the tracks did so just east of the city limits, Durand Now reports.  But the crash also destroyed railroad tracks in front of the historic Durand Union Station and Michigan Railroad History Museum, where a train car overturned there as well.  CLICK HERE to see more crash and clean-up photos.

Craziest towing call yet. Train de-railed in Durand. 42 brand new trucks total. 8 going to the dealer. The rest are totaled
