Well I know it's not really Friday, but with the Holiday tomorrow it's like Friday for a lot of people (especially me!) and I want to make sure I don't fall off the fitness wagon while I'm in Alabama stuffing my face full of delicious (and very sugary and buttery) Southern food!  So I spoke with my trainers at Go Workout this week (which I also worked out with both on Monday and Tuesday before heading home today for the holiday) and they both suggested that I get a really good intense workout tomorrow a few hours BEFORE I eat a ton of Thanksgiving food.  The theory behind this is that your body will use/ burn the food that you eat because your muscles will need it after an intense workout instead of storing all that extra food as fat.  So since I am out of town and don't have a gym membership here is what I'm going to do tomorrow from home before the big meal!:

  • 1 1/2 hour of hot yoga (I found a cheap class online but you can youtube yoga videos online and follow along to those if you want to get some yoga in)... I'm just counting yoga as a warm up for myself because I do it so much my body is used to it and it's more of a flexibility and stretching thing for me.
  • 50 jumping jacks
  • 20 push ups (probably girl push ups)
  • 20 squats with 10lb weight
  • 20 burpees
  • 40 sit ups
  • 20 lunges
  • 20 leg lifts (or leg kicks/scissors/whatever you want to call it)
  • 1 minute plank

I'm going to do that entire set 3 times (minus the Hot Yoga, that's only once!) and then I'll be ready to go stuff my face with dressing, turkey and sweet potato casserole!  What do you plan on doing tomorrow to stay fit through the Holiday meals?  Comment below to share your Fit Holiday Plan!
