Downtown Lansing Meijer To Start Building Soon

The big announcement about the Downtown Lansing Meijer store with residential homes above it came a few weeks ago but when will it start building? That is what some people living downtown want to know as the project is set to open in September 2020.

According to WLNS, the Meijer store complex on East Michigan Ave will be starting construction around March of 2019. The Lansing City Council approved a recent property tax payment. This is just the first step as the project still has to be approval from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
