Donate Books to Promote Literacy for Lansing Kids
The 2015 Greater Lansing Book Drive is on. You can make a difference in the life of a local kid, by helping promote literacy with the donation of a book.
The campaign says kids who don't read proficiently by 4th grade are 4 times more likely to drop out of school.
But it's more than just keeping kids "on the right path." Those that have a real love of reading know it's about helping kids find the joy of becoming immersed in a story.
Michigan author Johnathan Rand said "Reading is not something you do-it's a place that you go."
Drop off new or gently used children's books to the MSU Federal Credit Union Main Branch, any local Lansing Ophthalmology office, or Quality Dairy store.
