And it's super easy to find; it's right on Grand River between Bailey and Division in East Lansing.

So, I've had the inside scoop about Sweet Lorraine's for a couple weeks now (the boyfriend has a job there), but I think it's time that you knew the fabulousness that is Sweet Lorraine's.

First off, why the "fabulous"? Lorraine said she thought the name needed something else, something to give it a little kick! "Life is fabulous," she laughed. "Why not add something fun like fabulous?" Why not, indeed! Now, let's get down to (the very cheezy) business!

The Mac n' Cheez...It all starts with perfectly cooked pasta and some of her "Ooey Gooey" cheese sauce, and from there they have 14!!! different styles of Mac n' Cheez to choose from. You could even build your own. For those of you who aren't carb-ivores, don't fret, Sweet Lorraine's has something for you too! Delicious salads and wraps that range from the (not your garden variety) garden salad to a Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta Salad to the Spicy "Wing" Wrap. Plus, she sources local ingredients whenever possible, including her pure sugar cane sodas that hail from Grand Traverse, MI.

If you're still not convinced to stop by, let me share this fact about myself that might convince you: I'm not the type of person who can stand eating the same type of food more than one day in a row, and I've eaten there three days in a row this week...that should tell you something!

And to top it all off, Lorraine is one of the sweetest people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. I had the chance to sit down with her on Wednesday and she told me all about her start. She started as an MSU student studying fine art, and then fell in love with environmental science, and THEN fell in love with food. You can read all about her first deli (which started in Madison Heights, MI), here!

Finally, I asked Sweet Lorraine what she might get for lunch, and she said that she's a pretty get-up-and-go kind of person and doesn't normally stop for lunch. But..."if someone got the twisted grilled cheez, [she] wouldn't say no to a bite!"
