All Perry Schools Buildings Closed Friday

All buildings in the Perry school district will be closed on Friday due to power issues. On Thursday, Perry High School was closed due to a power outage.

Power outages have also impacted nearby communities in the recent days. On Tuesday, from East Lansing to DeWitt, a blackout affected numerous traffic lights for a short period of time when a Lansing Board of Water & Light substation unexpectedly "tripped," WLNS-TV reports.

Consumers Energy's website was experiencing difficulties on Friday morning but appeared to show outages affecting a small number of customers in Perry but did not indicate an estimated time of restoration.
