With July 4th being on a Wednesday it means that this week is kind of weird especially with travel. Some people have left for their trips last weekend and some are leaving this coming week, making AAA predict that this weekend could be the most traveled in quite a while.

According to AAA, they project nearly 1.6 million Michiganders will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Independence Day weekend.  The Independence Day Holiday is measured from July 3rd - July 8th. Along with people on the roads, there are projected to be over 71,000 people will travel by air, a 5% increase from last year, making it 5 years in a row of increases. There is also expected to be an increase in people traveling by trains, buses, and boats.

Tuesday July 3rd is expected to the most congested of all of the travel days, and Sunday should be as well. So be careful and mindful that a lot of people will be traveling this week/weekend. More on the story here.
