Allison Iraheta To Sing Anthem At L.A. Marathon

Allison Iraheta's singing last season on American Idol motivated millions to vote for her, so maybe her voice will motivate a few thousand folks to run 26 miles.  The Los Angeles Times reports that Allison will sing the national anthem to kick off the 25th annual L.A. Marathon, which is taking place this Sunday, March 21st.

Allison's sister is running the marathon this year, but Allison herself has run it twice.  The first time took her six-and-a-half hours; the second time, it took her eight hours -- and both times left her hurting, big-time.  She tells the paper, "I remember rolling out of bed the next morning to go to school and I couldn't even get my pants on. You're in such pain, you can't bend over!  But it's worth it, because you feel so good."
